Rote Rübe Smoothie

Immune system Boost with Smoothies for the Winter!

Smoothies, Smoothies, Smoothies! I love Smoothies so much!

It has helped me and my family so much to drink a fresh smoothie daily. They are just so easy to make and above all it makes it so easy to introduce a large amount of fresh wild greens into your diet. You can cover up any kinds of taste you might not like in the beginning and spice them up or sweet with dates to create something so delicious. You can easily create a super healthy drink for your child, tasting like a sweet milk shake.

Red Beet Smoothie

Red Beets are loaded with iron to fight anemia effectively. The color already gives you the clue 😉

They can help you lowering your blood pressure and fight inflammation. Combined with the right fruits it gives such a sweet flavor. Many kids like the color a lot and a sweet taste with it will make them love it. This year we used it also as our Halloween blood drink.

  • 2 red beet
  • 1 banana
  • 1 apple
  • 1 cube of ginger
  • 6 dates
  • water

The amount of water depends on how thick you want your smoothie to be. I generally use about a liter for this one.

Mix all ingredients in your blender and enjoy!

The ginger will warm you from the inside out and boosts our immune  system. Therefore it’s a great natural antibiotic. As well used against pains of any kinds and to fight nausea.

Green Power Smoothie

Depending on where you live it can be hard to get a good amount of fresh green in winter. Freezing in fresh greens in summer for your smoothies in winter is a great thing. I did it this year and I am so happy about that.

  • 2 hands full of your green of choice
  • 1 banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tbsp chlorella supplement
  • 6 dates
  • 1l water

Mix all ingredients in your blender until smooth.

Celery Smoothie

Celery is the number one green when it comes to strong bones. It contains a good amount of magnesium, natrium and calcium. It also calms us down and is therefore lowering your blood pressure.

  • 5 sticks of celery
  • 3 pears
  • 1l water

You can add dates if you wish it to be sweeter. I usually don’t need them for this smoothie. The pears also give enough sweetness if they are properly ripened.

What about you ?
