I have been asked several times how we feed our kid “candy” with our no-sugar policies at home. First of all I have to say, that I am against those strict guidelines for my children. I think it might cause the “forbiden treasure effect” for my children. So, we don’t buy chocolate and any other candy for our son. If we attend a birthday party somewhere else he can choose to eat cake if he likes. BUT! Who wants those things when there is super delicious Pudding and Brownies in the house ? Not our son! Seriously, if he can he prefers our raw vegan cake and candy recipes, because that’s what he grew up with.

How To Make Healthy Pudding
There are many pudding recipes on the internet which use chia seeds and seriously, it is the simplest way to make some! Since we love variety, I was searching for another pudding-way and I found it!
Hemp Seed Pudding
Many of the recipes that use hemp seeds refer to the hemp seeds without shell. Personally I find them way to expensive and I dont get why I should leave out the most helathy outer shell of my seeds, so for this recipe, you can just use the whole hemp seeds. The shell contains healthy fiber which is too beneficial for your digestion to leave it out. Beside that hemp seeds contain great proteines and it’s oils help to clear skin. So go ahead and try:
- 10 pitted dates
- 100g water
- 200g hemp seeds
- 100g ice cubes
All you need to do is mixing the ingredients in the blender until smooth and ENJOY!!! This has been a great ice breaker for picky children! Never met anyone who didn’t like this Pudding!
Raw Chocolate Brownies
A great recipe for guests or just any other day. A true cacao bomb. A great source of magnesium and other minerals. Superfood for the cold and short winter days since cacao contains the mood improver, anandamide – known as the bliss molecule, which creates a feeling of euphoria.
- 135g mixed nuts
- 12 dates
- 5 EL raw cacao powder
- 5 EL ground coconut
- 2 EL agavenectar
Again all you need to do is blend all the ingredients together in the blender until smooth. Fill them in forms and keep in fridge for about half an hour before serving them. ENJOY!!!
That was it for today, I for my part will catch up with this sunny day and get some sunshine on my skin!
